Let say you have a 12ftx24ft pool, your cover would be roughly 280 square feet. On a cover that size 1 inch of rain would be 1,456 pounds of water on your cover. That is roughly ¾ of a ton of water sitting on your cover speeding up the need for a replacement much sooner than necessary.
